Ewi @ 80 Super 4: Football Tournament Honors Monarch’s Milestone in Ado Ekiti

The Ado Local Football Council has launched the “Ewi @ 80 Super 4,” a football tournament celebrating Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III’s 80th birthday and 35 years on the throne, ijobasportsnews.com reports.

Teams from Ado Local Government and its three LCDAs (Ado North, Ado South, Ado West) will compete in a knockout format at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium. The draw is imminent, with matches to follow.

Council Chairman Prince Deji Aladesiun urged teams to prepare for fierce competition. “This is a tribute to His Majesty’s legacy of unity and progress,” he said.

The event blends sport, culture, and community pride, with prizes and youth development opportunities.
