In preparation for the much-anticipated Osun Military Para-Military Games 2025 (OMPG25), the Organising Committee has officially announced the date for its Press Conference, scheduled to hold on Monday, October 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
The event will take place at the Conference Room of the Nigeria Correctional State Headquarters, Osogbo, Osun State.
The Press Conference is expected to bring together top representatives of all participating security and paramilitary agencies, key partners, media practitioners, and other stakeholders in the sports sector.
The gathering will serve as the formal unveiling of the 2025 edition of the Games, an event designed to promote unity, discipline, fitness, and inter-agency collaboration among the nation’s uniformed services.
Speaking on the announcement, the CEO of ACE Sports, Olayiwola Olafiranye described the press conference as a crucial step in setting the tone.
He emphasized that the meeting would provide an avenue to highlight the Games’ objectives, outline logistics arrangements, and unveil the full calendar of events leading up to the competition’s kickoff on October 22nd, 2025, at the Aderemi Sanni Stadium, Adeleke University, Ede.
The 2025 edition, according to Olafiranye aims not only to foster physical fitness and camaraderie among officers but also to project the spirit of peace, service, and patriotism within Osun State and beyond.
The Press Conference will also feature goodwill messages from the Osun State Ministry of Sports, OSUn State Sports Council, the Sports Officers Association, and heads of participating formations, including the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Police Force, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO), NDLEA, and the Nigerian Air Force.
The Osun Military Para-Military Games has, over the years, evolved into one of the state’s most respected sporting traditions, promoting synergy among service agencies.
With the unveiling of this Press Conference date, the countdown officially begins toward what organizers describe as a “celebration of strength, service, and solidarity.”
