Chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club, Solomon Babanjah, on Monday officially presented the team’s new kits for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season to the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Isaac Danladi, in his office in Lafia, ijobasportsnews.com reports.
The chairman, accompanied by the club’s Board Member and Director of Media and Communications, Eche Amos, explained that the new kits, designed by China-based Elite King Sportswear Company, symbolize the team’s vibrant identity and renewed spirit.
Babanjah noted that the presentation was in appreciation of Barr. Danladi’s unwavering support and solidarity, which have been instrumental to the club’s progress and success.

In his remarks, Barr. Danladi commended the club’s management, players, and officials for their impressive performance in the ongoing NPFL season, describing their achievements as a source of pride for the state.
“I am delighted with the team’s performance, which is a clear indication that we left a good legacy,” he said.
“I appreciate the Governor for always supporting the team financially and morally, and I also commend the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for his consistent support. Above all, I thank the players for making us proud. By God’s grace, Nasarawa United should end the season as champions.”
The Attorney General also cautioned the team against complacency, urging them to maintain their current form and focus until the end of the season.
As a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, Barr. Danladi presented the club with a ₦500,000 cash gift, to be shared among the management, players, and officials of Nasarawa United.

Barr. Danladi has a long-standing history with the club, having served in various capacities — including Secretary and later Chairman — for over twelve years before his appointment as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development. He currently serves as Commissioner under Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration.
Nasarawa United currently sit top of the 2025/26 NPFL table with 19 points from nine matches.
