A total of 32 teams across Nigeria will vie for promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL) through the 2025 Nationwide League One (NLO) Playoffs.
The promotion playoff will be conducted in a round-robin format, with teams grouped into eight slots, each containing four teams. Every team will play three matches within their group, and the winner of each group will earn automatic promotion to the NNL.

Each group’s winner will gain promotion to the Nigeria National League, stepping up from the grassroots to professional ranks. Additional round-robin fixtures may also take place within the centres for tiebreaking and final qualification determinations.
